(in Polish: Matematyka - studia I stopnia stacjonarne)
first-cycle programmes
full-time programmes, 3 years
Language: Polish

A Bachelor's studies in Mathematics aim to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to start professional or scientific work. A graduate can combine facts in fields of mathematics such as real and complex mathematical analysis, algebra, geometry, logic and set theory, discrete mathematics, probability, and statistics, as well as differential and ordinary equations, having explored one of these subjects in detail. A graduate learned about the essential topics and IT tools, such as algorithm analysis and numerical methods, and how to write a program (in C/C++). Learned to use programs designed for symbolic or vector calculations and graphical representation of mathematical objects. A graduate is familiar with TeX/LaTeX and fluent in advanced spreadsheet functions. Can formulate descriptions of quantitative or geometric problems in mathematical language and apply computational techniques and programming tools to solve these problems. Can adapt to the changing needs of the market and has the possibility of further education.

After graduation, a graduate may work in the banking and insurance sectors, developed in the country and abroad, and production management, economic analysis or research institutions. This field of study may open up promotion paths if the graduate has already worked in such institutions before starting their studies.
