Parental mistakes and the formation of personality disorders WF-PS-PMAPD-ER
During the course, students will become familiar with the knowledge of psychotherapy based on the approach to personality disorders (DSM V classification) in terms of the functioning of the schemas described in Jeffrey Young's theory. The relationship between the formation of a schema of personality disorders and childhood's experience of parental mistakes is being discussed.
1. The formation of personality disorders: genetic and environmental approach.
2. Parental mistakes as the cause of personality disorders of an environmental nature.
3. Personality schemas in terms of Jeffrey Young's theory. Classification and characteristics of the schema. Personality disorders discribed by Young's schemes.
4. Social Network Analysis for personality disorders and Decision tree showing the relationship between schemas and personality disorders.
5. Borderline personality type. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
6. Dependent personality disorder. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
7. Antisocial personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
8. Histrionic personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
9. Narcissistic personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
10. Paranoid personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
11. Depressive and passive-aggressive personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
12. Obsessive-compulsive and avoidant personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
13. Schizotypal and schizoid personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
14. Sadistic and masochistic personality. Characteristics and layout of schemas. Relationships with parental mistakes experienced in childhood.
