Podstawowym celem kształcenia na kierunku administracja jest przygotowanie absolwenta do pełnienia funkcji menedżerskich w szeroko rozumianej administracji. Studiowanie na kierunku administracja przygotowuje przyszłych urzędników do prawidłowego, sprawnego zarządzania i wykonywania zadań związanych z pracą w instytucjach państwowych oraz na stanowiskach w firmach prywatnych.

Po ukończeniu studiów absolwent może pełnić (po nabyciu odpowiedniego doświadczenia zawodowego) kierownicze funkcje w służbie cywilnej oraz samodzielnego wykonywania pracy w organach administracji publicznej, w instytucjach i podmiotach pozarządowych, a także w przedsiębiorstwach współpracujących z krajami członkowskimi UE. Ponadto absolwent jest przygotowany do pracy w urzędach zajmującymi się stosun­kami międzynarodowymi i integracją europejską.

Na kierunku administracja (II stopnia) działają moduły prawa administracyjnego, prawno - informatyczny i administracja publiczna.

Knowledge, ability and competence learning effects for Administration second degree studies were confirmed by Resolution No. 69/2015 of the Senate of the UKSW on 22nd May 2015 on determining the effects of education for the fields of study at the Faculty of Law and Administration for students starting their studies from the academic year 2015/2016 r. The study plan and curriculum were defined by Resolution No. 208/2016/2017 of the Council of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UKSW on 27th June 2017 on the establishment of the study program in the field of Administration second-cycle part-time studies.
