Celem kształcenia na kierunku kulturoznawstwo (I stopnia studiów stacjonarnych) jest:

przekazanie wiedzy i umiejętności niezbędnych do świadomej percepcji środowiska kulturowego.
rozwijanie kreatywności oraz umiejętności niezbędnych do realizowania autorskich pomysłów i inicjatyw;
poszanowanie dla dziedzictwa kultury polskiej, europejskiej i światowej;
nastawienie na przedsiębiorczość i innowacyjność w sektorze kultury.

Zdobycie wiedzy z zakresu:

historii i teorii kultury, rozszerzone o tradycję dyscyplin tworzących podstawy dla teoretycznej refleksji o kulturze (m.in. socjologii, antropologii, filozofii);
teorii i historii kultury artystycznej;
nauki o komunikacji i mediach (analogowych i cyfrowych);
ekonomicznych i prawnych uwarunkowań organizacji i zarządzania instytucjami kultury.

Na kierunku dostępne są moduły:

Media w kulturze,
Zarządzanie kulturą,
Film i teatr,
Komunikacja w biznesie ,
Kolekcjonerstwo - rzeczoznawstwo - rynek sztuki.

Po ukończeniu studiów absolwent może podjąć pracę w charakterze animatora i organizatora życia kulturalnego oraz menadżera w instytucjach kultury, organizacjach pozarządowych, a także w różnych instytucjach upowszechniania kultury, redakcjach, muzeach, teatrach, kinach, agencjach prasowych, reklamowych i PR-owych.
