Learning outcomes
The student:
U0 - can recognise basic functions (linear, polynomial, exponential and logarithmic, logistic, normal distribution) in real data and in the description of natural phenomena, including ODE (ordinary differential equations); (MA2_U04, MA2_U06, MA2_U17)
U1 - knows how to read and interpret the notation of physical quantities and laws of physics in the language of differential calculus and ODE; (MA2_U04, MA2_U06, MA2_U17)
U2 - ume to construct simple mathematical models in natural sciences and carry out their basic mathematical analysis (MA2_U04, MA2_U06, MA2_U16)
U3 - can construct, interpret and analyse simple discrete models in natural sciences (MA2_U04, MA2_U16)
U4 - can approximate data and estimate approximation errors (MA2_U04)
K1 - is able to get acquainted with a new model, is willing to present it in an understandable way, analyse it and justify the conclusions drawn (MA2_U02, MA2_K05)
K2 - is willing to ask questions leading to a deeper understanding of models (MA2_K01, MA2_K02)
Assessment criteria
For all effects, the following assessment criteria are adopted for all forms of verification:
grade 5: fully achieved (no obvious shortcomings)
grade 4.5: achieved almost fully and criteria for awarding a higher grade are not met
grade 4: largely achieved and the criteria for a higher grade are not met
grade 3.5: largely achieved - with a clear majority of positives - and the criteria for granting a higher grade are not met
grade 3: achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification and criteria for a higher grade are not met
grade 2: not achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification
