(in Polish) Wykład monograficzny -Funkcjonowanie psychospołeczne osób z autyzmem WF-ZPS-N-MON6
The lecture will focus on the psychosocial functioning of children and adults on the autism spectrum and their parents. Specific problems that arise in this functioning and ways to solve them will be discussed, but above all, emphasis will be placed on a modern approach to autism, which seeks strengths in people affected by autism and emphasizes the importance of self-compassion. In addition, specific answers to the concerns of parents of children with autism will be presented, along with advice on how to support their child's development. Finally, the sexuality of people on the autism spectrum will be broadly characterized.

The student has in-depth knowledge of mental health. They are familiar with health models and concepts explaining the development of mental disorders. They know the criteria for diagnosing mental disorders. They have an in-depth understanding of the biological, psychological, social, and cultural determinants of mental disorders. They understand the essence of functionality and dysfunctionality, harmony and disharmony, normality and pathology. They are familiar with the relationships between health psychology, clinical psychology, and psychiatry. The student has in-depth knowledge of mental health in the field of autism. Knows the concepts explaining the development of autism disorders. Knows the criteria for diagnosing autism. Understands the essence of communication problems in people with autism. Has in-depth knowledge of the principles of building contact and relationships with people with autism.
Skills
Students are able to integrate their theoretical knowledge of psychology, pedagogy, and related disciplines and apply it to the description of situations and the analysis of practical actions taken. Students are able to integrate their theoretical knowledge of autism and apply it to the description of situations and the analysis of practical actions taken.
Competencies
The student is sensitive to psychosocial issues, respecting the rights of minorities and avoiding thinking based on stereotypes and prejudices.

Grade 5: The student has in-depth knowledge of mental health in relation to autism. They are very familiar with the concepts explaining the development of autism spectrum disorders and the criteria for diagnosing autism. They have an excellent understanding of the nature of communication problems in people with autism. They have an in-depth knowledge of the principles of establishing contact and relationships with people with autism.
Grade 4: The student has fairly in-depth knowledge of mental health in relation to autism. They have a good understanding of the concepts explaining the development of autism spectrum disorders and the criteria for diagnosing autism. They have a good understanding of the nature of communication problems in people with autism. They have a good understanding of the principles of establishing contact and relationships with people with autism.
Grade 3: The student has some, albeit limited, knowledge of mental health in relation to autism. They have a limited understanding of the concepts explaining the development of autism spectrum disorders and the criteria for diagnosing autism. They have a limited understanding of the nature of communication problems in people with autism. They have a limited understanding of the principles of establishing contact and relationships with people with autism.
Grade 2: The student has no knowledge of mental health in relation to autism. They are unfamiliar with the concepts explaining the development of autism spectrum disorders and the criteria for diagnosing autism. They do not understand the nature of communication problems in people with autism. They are unfamiliar with the principles of establishing contact and relationships with people with autism.
