Learning outcomes
The student knows and understands the memory phenomena observed in everyday life and can indicate their explanation in the light of memory theory.
The student is able to name and explain the main findings of research on memory of stimuli such as faces, other people, spatial information, etc.
The student knows and understands the role of scientific theories in explaining psychological phenomena.
The student is ready to independently develop knowledge and skills in the light of new research findings on human memory. The student understands and uses specialized terminology in the field of memory psychology.
Assessment criteria
The course ends with a written exam, consisting of test questions and a descriptive question (students will receive a set of guiding questions beforehand). Each test question will have four answer options with one correct answer. The descriptive question will also require demonstration of a more in-depth understanding of the content presented in the lectures.
Grading criteria:
The final grade will depend on:
- participation in lectures,
- the result of the final test
The prerequisite for receiving a passing grade is: obtaining a minimum of 55% of the final test score and no more than 4 absences during the school year.
Obtaining such a score means that the student will achieve the learning outcomes to a sufficient degree.
