Professional status:

The graduate has a thorough knowledge of theology based on the Revelation and patristic sources; is familiar with the basics of the knowledge of humanities, especially philosophy and social sciences covering the canon of theological education . The graduate is prepared for pastoral work and to work in ecclesiastical and secular institutions and centers dealing with prevention and the provision of social, educational, and cultural services. After receiving the permission to teach religion the graduate is able to work in education as a teacher of religion, and in a parish as a catechist.

Teaching standards

Standards of education in accordance with the decree of the Minister of National Education and Sports of 18 April 2002 on defining education standards for particular fields of studies and levels of education (the Journal of Laws No 116 , item 1004 with subsequent changes) and the regulations of the Canon Law, particularly the Apostolic Constitution "Sapentia Christiana" of 15 April 1979 on Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties (AAS 1979, pp. 469-499). The standards define general requirements including the number of hours of classes and lectures, the profile of the graduate, the content of education presented in particular subjects divided into groups: general education, basic education, and field education as well as recommendations and requirements on serving apprenticeship.
