Learning outcomes
P6S_W6; CH1_W05; EU1 Student knows the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations
P6S_W6; CH1_W05; EU2 Student knows and understands analytical methods used in toxicological tests in forensic science
P6S_UW; CH1_U02; EU3 Student indicates the appropriate analytical method and the method of conducting the analysis of selected forensic traces
Assessment criteria
EU1
5.0 The verification shows that he/she is familiar with the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations without any discernible shortcomings
4.5 The verification shows that he/she has an almost complete knowledge of the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations, but does not meet the criteria for a higher grade
4.0 The verification shows that he/she has a substantially correct knowledge of the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations, but does not meet the criteria for a higher grade
3.5 The verification shows that the applicant has a largely correct but inconsistent knowledge of the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
3.0 Verification shows that in most test cases the user knows the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
2.0 The verification does not demonstrate that he/she is familiar with the basic analytical methods used in forensic examinations, or that he/she meets the criteria for a higher rating
EU2
5.0 The verification demonstrates that he/she knows and understands the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology testing without any discernible shortcomings
4.5 The verification shows that he/she has an almost complete knowledge and understanding of the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology tests, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
4.0 The verification shows that he/she has a substantially correct knowledge and understanding of the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology tests, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
3.5 The verification shows that he has a largely correct but inconsistent knowledge and understanding of the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology tests, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
3.0 Verification shows that in most test cases knows and understands the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology testing, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
2.0 The verification does not demonstrate that he/she knows and understands the analytical methods used in forensic toxicology or that he/she meets the criteria for a higher rating
EU3
5.0 The verification shows that it indicates the appropriate analytical method and the method of conducting the analysis of selected forensic traces without any discernible shortcomings
4.5 The verification shows that it is almost entirely correct in indicating the appropriate analytical method and method of analysing selected forensic traces, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
4.0 The verification shows that it correctly indicates to a large extent the appropriate analytical method and method of conducting the analysis of selected forensic traces, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
3.5 The verification shows that it correctly but inconsistently indicates the appropriate analytical method and the method of analysing selected forensic traces, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
3.0 Verification shows that in the majority of test cases it indicates an appropriate analytical method and method of conducting the analysis of selected forensic traces, but does not meet the criteria for a higher rating
2.0 The verification does not demonstrate that it indicates an appropriate analytical method and method of conducting the analysis of selected forensic traces, or that it meets the criteria for a higher rating
The final grade x is determined by the value of
st(w)= 5 if 4.5 < w; st(w)= 4.5 if 4.25 < in ≤ 4.5; st(w)= 4 if 3.75 < in ≤ 4.25; st(w)= 3.5 if 3.25 < in ≤ 3.75; st(w)= 3 if 2.75 < in ≤ 3.25; st(w)= 2 if in ≤ 2.75
and on the basis of the following rule:
● x is determined from the formula x=st(z), where z is the weighted average of the marks from the verifications carried out, in which the weights of the exam marks are 2 and the weights of the marks from other forms of verification are equal to 1
