Selected issues of social rehabilitation of sex offenders (exercises)
Objectives: Getting to know the problems in the field of psychopathology of sex offenders with references to social rehabilitation, including psychotherapy (including Gestalt therapy).
Learning outcome: Attitude - openness and readiness to help sexual offenders. Competence - knowledge of the subject - psychopathology of sex offenders.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of personality psychology and clinical psychology.
Assessment methods: Completion of the course - in the oral form (verification interview). The material presented in the exercises is obligatory.
Program content:
1. Paraphilias (main focus: definitions, classification).
2. Pedophilia (main topic: case study, causes, categories, treatment options).
3. Pedophilia in the Gestalt plane (main area: background, figures, characters).
4. Sadomasochism and necrophilia and crime (main focus: etiology, development, therapy).
5. Other paraphilias - e.g. gerontophilia and zoophilia (main focus: etiology, development, therapy).
6. Rape (main concern: etiology, psychological consequences, post-traumatic stress).
7. Rape in the Gestalt plane (main focus: background, figures, characters).
8. Factors affecting sexual crime (mainly: alcohol, biological, psychological and cultural factors).
9. Personality of sex offenders (main focus: juvenile and adult offenders, directions of change).
10. Abused syndromes (mainly: battered wife syndrome, battered husband syndrome, Stockholm syndrome).
11. Strategies and methods of social rehabilitation interactions for sex offenders.
12. Social rehabilitation programs for sex offenders - STOP and "Respect".
13. Finally live - 12 steps of life (possibility of adapting the program to sex offenders).

The student is able to conduct a basic therapeutic and social rehabilitation session for sex offenders (5).
Assessment criteria
Completion of the subject orally (verification interview). Two absences allowed. Grade 3 - basic, general knowledge of issues; grade 4 - detailed knowledge of the issues; grade 5 - the ability to transfer theoretical content to the social rehabilitation, practical and therapeutic plane.
