1.Main questions related to health promotion
-specific problems related to Children
-mental healt promotion in Europe
2.Primary prevention. Risk factors - epidemiology and coping models
3.Secondary prevention - rehabioltation. Psychological factors in contemporary diseasses. Diaquosis and coping strategy.
4.Psychology participation in scientific projects conducted by epidemiologists and rehab experts.

Term 2021/22_L:

1. Organizational classes. Getting acquainted with the design method
2. Qestionnaires used in resaerch in the area of health psychology
3. Elimination of risk factors for civilization diseases in high risks groups and in the entire population . Health education as an example of primary prevention
4. Models of changes in health behawiours
5. Change in health behaviors- why good intentions are not enough?
6. Secondary prevention -various forms of psychological support for somatic patients (social support, relaxation trainings)
7.Psychology participation in scientific projects conducted by epidemiologists and rehab experts.
8.Health psychology in selected fields of medicine

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
EK1- the student knows the basic psychology and medicine concepts in the area of health promotion and prevention
EK 2- the student has a structured knowlege of the basic issues of health promotion
Skills:
EK 3- students can use adequate concepts to describe health promotions issues
EK 4- students can select the theoretical base to explain health promotion issues
EK 5- students can reach the source material in the area of health promotion, analyze it and properly use
Competence:
EK 6- the student is able to plan and realize his own work to complete the psychological research task in the area of health promotion

Assessment criteria

Written exam- multiple choice test and/or teamwork.The materiał presented at the lecture is obligatory.
