Seminar: Preparation for conducting research and writing scientific texts WF-PS-N-KPDB
As part of the seminar, students will learn the practices and methods of conducting scientific research ranging from the search and selection of literature and the initial concept of the project, through the process of determining the research procedure, selection of tools and research group, processing the obtained data, presentation of results, writing scientific text, and ending with promotion of your work.
Classes were divided into 3 blocks corresponding in turn to the preparation of literature and data, writing a scientific text and its publication and promotion.
During classes, participants will both learn about research methods and scientific text standards, as well as systematically work on their own mini scientific project. The created mini-project will be able to form the basis for a master's thesis, grant or separate scientific research. At the end of the series of classes, the project will be assessed as part of the credit.

Learning outcomes
-Knowledge: The student has knowledge of various sources of scientific literature, methods of presenting results, methods of assessing the significance of a scientific journal, or the specificity of a scientific text.
-Skill: The student has acquired skills on how to search for literature, select research methods for possible methods of analysis, writie a scientific text in accordance with APA standards, promote the results of their research.
-Competence: The student is ready to independently expand knowledge, design and conduct their own research, and write a scientific text based on them.
Calculating ECTS points: 1 ects - participation in classes; 1 ects - preparing assigned tasks
Assessment criteria

In class, students acquire knowledge as part of the conversational section (in which the lecturer gives basic information, while students can ask questions and discuss the issue discussed) and a project in which students work on their own potential research project.
The prerequisite for passing is attendance and active participation in classes. Assessments are issued on the basis of class activity and formal quality of the study design prepared.
Grade 3 - The student has prepared project with a large number of formal errors
Grade 4 - The student prepared a project with a small number of formal errors
Grade 5 - The student has prepared project with singualr formal errors
