Seminar: Psychology in theological thought WF-PS-KPWT
Selected, significant theological subjects are analyzed from a psychological perspective. Two substantive and methodological perspectives are being taken into account in important facts or life experiences, such as love, loneliness, forgiveness, suffering, humility, sense of life, possessions, fatherhood, fasting.
Each student selects one of the topics and presents it as an essay or multimedia presentation in the Power Point program. The purpose of the course is to show similarities and differences in perception of the phenomena or facts, as well as to sensitize the inspirational presence of interdisciplinary approaches to the reality. The lectures will cover the following topics:
1. Reduction or dialogue: substantive and methodological foundations of theology and psychology
2. Theological anthropology and psychological concepts of man
3. Theology extends to psychology and psychology inspired by theology
4. The presence of psychology in biblical theology
5. The Importance of Psychology for Systematic Theology - Fundamental, Dogmatic, and Moral)
6. The application of psychological knowledge in pastoral theology.
7. Theological and psychological interpretation of human experiences: vocation, suffering, trauma, forgiveness, development, fullness of life, expatitions, possessions, clairvoyance
8. Biblical descriptions of mental disorders
9. Pastoral care and psychotherapy
10. Psychology in Religious Formation
Psychology in the spiritual leadership
12. Psychological interpretation of biblical characters - bibliodrama
In the workshop part will be discussion of theses on selected topics, prepared and presented by students. This conversational part takes 2/3 of a half hour block (about 60 minutes)

Assessment criteria
Students will be presented with a list of topics to choose from one of these topics is to be developed by the student and presented as a multimedia presentation in Power Point and then in the form of an essay. They will be assessed: attendance and active participation in the classes, presentation of the chosen topic and essay - assignment. The higher the level of engagement and the more interesting the presentation and the essay this higher rating.
