Podstawy prawne monitoringu środowiska WF-P-ZJPJST-PPMS2
As part of the subject on environmental monitoring, there will be a legal basis for conducting state environmental monitoring. The state environmental monitoring (SEM) was created in 1991 to provide reliable information on the state of the environment. The task of conducting state environmental monitoring was entrusted to sanitary inspection bodies. SEM is one of the basic data allowing to know the state of the environment in terms of static and dynamic. As part of the SEM, data on various environmental components such as air, water, soil and specific forms of nature protection are collected. SEM through the acquisition of data allows you to determine the state of the environment at a given time. Data collected as part of the research is then processed. Collecting such data for several or even a dozen years allows to determine changes that occur in the studied environment (eg changes in the degree of water pollution, soil contamination, etc.).
Different entities are involved in the process of collecting data on the state of the environment. These include public administration bodies, but also entities using the environment. The latter may be required to carry out specific measurements.
The data held has various functions. One of them is the information function of the society - excessively crossing certain substances in the air allows for the transmission of information, eg about the anti-smog alarm.
The data on the state of the environment also allows for taking corrective actions aimed at bringing the environment back to its proper state.
