Archeologia

Celem kształcenia jest zdobycie wiedzy na temat znaczenia archeologii w systemie nauk o społecznokulturowej przeszłości człowieka, wiedzy o periodyzacji dziejów wraz ze szczegółami dotyczącymi poszczególnych okresów i kultur, a także podstaw prawnych dotyczących badań i zarządzania dziedzictwem kulturowym.

Na kierunku dostępne są moduły dotyczące m.in. Podstaw dokumentacji i analizy zabytków, Metod nieinwazyjnych w badaniach dziedzictwa kulturowego, Antropologii fizycznej i kulturowej, Prahistorii Świata, Historii i archeologii antycznych cywilizacji Basenu Morza Śródziemnego. Obowiązkowym elementem studiów jest odbycie praktyk terenowych – badania powierzchniowe i wykopaliskowe.

Po ukończeniu studiów absolwent może podjąć pracę przy różnego typu inwestycjach infrastrukturalnych, które wymagają przeprowadzenia wyprzedzających badań archeologicznych lub nadzorów archeologicznych. Absolwenci są pracownikami jednostek muzealnych, jako kuratorzy wystaw lub animatorzy. Znajdują zatrudnienie także w jednostkach administracyjnych związanych z dziedzictwem i kulturą.
