Digital Techniques WM-I-Z-S1-E2-TCY
The lecture presents digital technology from both a theoretical and design perspective and through a discussion of selected, actually used digital circuits. Basic digital circuit design methods, their hardware implementations, and their corresponding software equivalents are presented.
Exercises illustrate and supplement the lecture material through analysis, discussion, and design of selected digital circuits, coherently linked to the lecture content.

LECTURE
Student:
W1 – Knows and understands the basic concepts and theoretical models of digital technologies, particularly those related to information representation, digital logic, and the principles of operation of digital systems (I1_W14);
W2 – Knows the architecture and organization of modern computer systems in areas relevant to digital technologies and understands the role of digital systems in the construction and operation of information processing systems (I1_W10).
LABORATORIES
Student:
U1 – Is able to apply mathematical and computer science knowledge to analyze and solve simple design problems in the field of digital technologies (I1_U02);
U2 – Is able to use established methods of representing digital data and signals, selecting them appropriately for the digital system being analyzed or designed (I1_U04).
