Software Architecture WM-I-S1-ARO
The aim of the course is to develop students’ ability to design and evaluate software architectures based on a system’s functional and quality requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to propose an architecture for a simple application, define component responsibilities and dependencies, and justify their choice through an analysis of its benefits and limitations.
The course covers software architecture design and the selection of architectural solutions to meet information system requirements. Topics include modular monoliths, layered and hexagonal architectures, and microservices architecture. Particular attention is given to the allocation of component responsibilities, dependency management, and the assessment of how architectural decisions affect software performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
