Computer Graphics and Visualization WM-I-GKW
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles of digital image processing on the example of GIMP and PovRay. Students learn the basic operations - photomontage, retouching, panoramic photos. They will also gain knowledge about the principles of 3D graphics modeling using geometric primitives, RayTracing graphics design.

Learning outcomes
LECTURE
Student
W1 - names and describes the basic techniques of the theory of computer graphics and its applications both in mathematics and in other sciences (I1_W14),
U1 - can design a graphic 3D scene (I1_U18).
LAB
Student
W1 - knows the concepts and techniques used in computer graphics programs (I1_W14),
U1 - can use programs for creating, processing and converting three-dimensional graphics (I1_U18).
Assessment criteria
For all learning outcomes, the following assessment criteria are adopted for all forms of verification:
grade 5: fully achieved (no obvious shortcomings),
grade 4.5: achieved almost fully and criteria for awarding a higher grade are not met,
grade 4: largely achieved and the criteria for a higher grade are not met,
grade 3.5: largely achieved with a clear majority of positives and the criteria for granting a higher grade are not met,
grade 3: achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification and criteria for a higher grade are not met,
grade 2: not achieved for most of the cases covered by the verification.
