Neuroscience: research and clinical practice WF-R-PS-SNBN
In the first part of the lecture the literature review is to be presented on neuroimaging research regarding both structural and functional neural correlates in various clinical scenarios.
The neural structural and functional correlates will be presented in both healthy controls as well as in
widely presented clinical groups as follows: “Hungry brain”, ‘Social brain”, “Traumatic brain”, “Depressed brain”, “Addicted brain”, and “Aging brain”.
The second part of the lecture is to be focused on complex therapeutic interventions aiming at clinical symptoms reductions and the improvement of both emotional and cognitive functioning
(such as nutritional rehabilitation, psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, social cognitive and neurocognitive training and body image training).
The lecture will include clinical case presentations and the presentation of research results.
