Psychology of health and stress WF-PS-N-PZS
The purpose of the class will be to acquaint students with the state of contemporary knowledge of health psychology. During the class, the following will be presented: definitions of health psychology, models used in health psychology and models of health behavior, factors that positively influence health, and forms of psychological help used in the field of health psychology. In addition, three ways of understanding stress and coping strategies will be presented, and the consequences of experiencing stress, especially chronic stress, on the body will be discussed.

PS_W13 the student knows and understands the importance of stress, crises, conflicts in human life and has knowledge of how to prevent and counteract these phenomena.
PS_W14 the student knows and understands how to analyze and interpret the role of factors that promote health behaviors, addictions, prevention of potential developmental disorders and pathologies in the field of mental processes.
PS_U12 the student is able to plan and carry out psychopreventive and psychoeducational interactions.
PS_K04 the student is ready to organize training courses presenting psychological problems and analyze practical psychological issues.

Knowledge
-for a grade of 5: The student will have a rich knowledge of selected issues in health psychology and stress psychology.
-for a grade of 4: The student will have a fairly rich knowledge of selected issues in health psychology and stress psychology.
-for a grade of 3: The student will have little but sufficient knowledge of selected issues in health psychology and stress psychology.
-for a grade of 2: The student will have insufficient knowledge of selected issues in health psychology and stress psychology.
Skills
-for a grade of 5: The student will have a very strong ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be addressed from a health psychology or stress psychology perspective.
-for a grade of 4: The student will have a fairly strong ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be solved from a health psychology or stress psychology perspective.
-for a grade of 3: The student will have a slight, although sufficient, ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be solved from a health psychology or stress psychology perspective.
-for a grade of 2: The student will not have sufficient ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be addressed from a health psychology or stress psychology perspective.
