The class will discuss human development from the perspective of psychoanalysis and the issues of conflict, trauma, defense mechanisms, dreams and symptom formation, and will characterize the therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis. The second part of the lecture will be formed by the topics of psychoanalytic treatment of mental disorders, personality disorders and psychosomatosis. The third lecture will discuss neopsychoanalytic theories.

PS_W02 the student knows and understands what is the difference in the interpretation of human behavior from different perspectives (including evolutionist, psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive-social, humanistic).
PS_W03 the student knows and understands what the analysis and interpretation of various mental processes from different theoretical perspectives is and how it should be done in detail.
PS_W13 the student knows and understands what is the importance of stress, crises, conflicts in human life and has knowledge of how to prevent and counteract these phenomena.

-for a grade of 5: The student will have a rich knowledge of human development from the perspective of psychoanalysis, such issues as conflict, trauma, defense mechanisms, dreams, symptom formation, the therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis, the psychoanalytic view of mental disorders, personality disorders and psychosomatosis, and neopsychoanalytic theories.
-for a grade of 4: The student will have a fairly extensive knowledge of human development from the perspective of psychoanalysis, such issues as conflict, trauma, defense mechanisms, dreams, symptom formation, the therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis, the psychoanalytic view of mental disorders, personality disorders and psychosomatoses, and neopsychoanalytic theories.
-for a grade of 3: The student will have little but sufficient knowledge of human development from the perspective of psychoanalysis, such issues as conflict, trauma, defense mechanisms, dreams, symptom formation, the therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis, the psychoanalytic view of mental disorders, personality disorders and psychosomatoses, and neopsychoanalytic theories.
-for a grade of 2: The student will not have sufficient knowledge of human development from the perspective of psychoanalysis, such issues as conflict, trauma, defense mechanisms, dreams, symptom formation, the therapeutic relationship in psychoanalysis, the psychoanalytic view of mental disorders, personality disorders and psychosomatoses, and neopsychoanalytic theories.
Skills
-for a grade of 5: The student will have a very strong ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be characterized from the perspective of psychoanalysis and will be able to outline a plan for dealing with them, using knowledge of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
-for a grade of 4: The student will have a fairly strong ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be characterized from the perspective of psychoanalysis and will be able to outline a plan for dealing with them, using knowledge of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
-for a grade of 3: The student will have little, though sufficient, ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be characterized from the perspective of psychoanalysis and will be able to outline a plan for dealing with them, using knowledge of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
-for a grade of 2: The student will not have sufficient ability to identify emerging problems in the environment that can be characterized from the perspective of psychoanalysis and will be able to outline a plan for dealing with them, using knowledge of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
