Neuropsychology - exercises WF-PS-N-NEURC
Exercises will be devoted to neuropsychological diagnosis. Students learn the methods of work of a neuropsychologist, the neuropsychological diagnosis process and selected diagnostic tools. Higher cognitive disorders and types of clinical symptoms due to damage to various areas of the brain will be discussed.
During the course, students become acquainted with the neuropsychologist's methods of work, and the neuropsychological diagnosis process (cognitive processes (attention, memory, thinking, verbal functions, executive functions, visual and spatial functions), brain damage and cognitive and behavioral functions).
The tools used in neuropsychological diagnostics will also be discussed: theoretical basis, construction, application; neuropsychological profile

Assessment criteria
• written exam (limited to 60%) - 20 test questions
• presentation of a selected topic discussed during the class
• active participation in classes
• attendance (2 absences allowed - no excuse)
- for grade 2 (ndst.): Student is not able to name individual CNS structures, and does not recognize the characteristics of patient behavior that lead to neuropsychological consultation.
- for grade 3 (dst.): Student lists basic functional systems, anatomical structures and main stages of CNS development, neuropsychological methods but can not discuss them.
- for grade 4 (db.): Student indicates and briefly discusses individual structures and briefly characterizes their role in the functioning of the CNS; understands the patient's behavior, which indicates the need for neurological consultation.
- 5 (very good): The student is perfectly familiar with neuropsychological knowledge in the field of the presented material
