in order to understand the limitations of professional activity, a psychology graduate is able to apply : basic theories of ethics (U05_01). In terms of competencies the psychologist uses the language of theories of ethics to explain to the society the intricacies of the profession of a psychologist as a profession of public trust (OS_K05_01).
In 2: “Ethical aspects of research activities of a psychologist (towards persons taking part in scientific studies)”:
a psychologist undertakes only such research activities and practical work (diagnosis, expert, assistance) as do not impact negatively on human dignity and respect the fundamental principles of informed consent (to take part in research or practical work as carried out by the psychologist), confidentiality, privacy and (sometimes) anonymity (OS_U05_02); avoids conflict of interest (OS_U05_03). In practical terms this manifests itself through the psychologist taking measures to ensure that any potential clients or other recipients of his services are aware of the fundamental limitations imposed by the primacy of professional ethics over either the effectiveness of one’s work or one’s own interests (OS_U05_02).
