The term Adult Children assumes a dual identity: being chronologically an adult and at the same time a child, because unresolved problems from childhood, unrequested and repressed traumas constitute an element of the past co-branding functioning in adulthood, functioning with features of emotional and social immaturity.
The lecture analyzes the effects of growing in a dysfunctional family, especially in a family with an alcohol problem, the consequences of taking irregular roles during childhood, the possibility of posttraumatic disorders.
An important aspect of the lecture is the analysis of traits that can be characterized by Adult Children from dysfunctional families - the features differ significantly, it depends on the activity in the work environment, which is usually unaware of personal dramas, or in interpersonal with the closest persons or also in attitudes towards oneself.

The student will be able to analyze the effects of growing in a dysfunctional family, especially in a family with an alcohol problem, also the consequences of taking irregular roles during childhood. He will know the problems of posttraumatic disorders.
He will be able to present the characteristics of Adult Children from dysfunctional families and explain how these features affect interpersonal relationships and relationships with oneself.
Assessment criteria
2: Student can not analyze the problem of dysfunction in the family,
3: He/she can indicate dysfunctions in the family and indicate their causes, also he/she can discuss scientific approaches for prevention and counteracting dysfunctions.
4: He/she knows the problems related to dysfunctions in the family correctly, is able to critically discuss scientific approaches concerning dysfunctions.
5: He/she is perfectly familiar with issues related to dysfunctions in the family, can critically and independently interpret scientific approaches concerning dysfunctions in the family.
