Topics:
1) Basic concepts. What is the biology of the human population? Man as an element of the environment.
2) Skeleton as a source of information on age, sex, biological state at death. Methods of evaluation of sex, age. Reconstruction of the biological characteristics of the individual on the basis of the skeleton; reconstruction of body height, weight; morphological responses to living conditions in pre-natal populations (stress markers); health assessment of the individual / population; paleopathology; osteological paradox.
3) Adjustment, adaptability and adaptation processes in humans. Genetic adaptation, climate and adaptation, biocultural adaptation.
4) Human microengineering: natural selection, genetic drift, mutations, migration, microevolution trends, biocultural factors of microevolution.
5) Biological variability of humans.
6) Biodemography: , size and density of the population, population structure by sex and age, population growth, reproduction, fertility, mortality, natural growth, matchmaking systems, migration.
7) Epidemiology. Basic concepts, evolution of diseases.
