3. Stages of work on the newspaper article, correctness and consistency of grammatical style.
4. Analysis of journalistic texts and their language.
5. How to find an interesting theme? Sources of the information.
6. Research. Selection and processing of acquired sources.
7. Structural elements of journalistic texts - title, lead, subheading, body. Structural conventions.
8. What treatments used to enhance the attractiveness of press material? Layaout and graphic form of text.
9. How to write a good press release? The language of the press release, the principles of good information.
10.The report, telegram, the relation.
11. Interview - how to prepare for, perform and compose it.
12. News and informative article (design, style).
13. Reportage - topics, search and document theme, language reportage.
14. The difference between the style of the information, and current affairs. Features valuable journalism.
15. Selected journalism genres: Review, feuilleton, essay.

After course student has the followig competition:
1. He analyzes selected press titles and can evaluate them
2. He knows the stages of work with the text
3. He can make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source and make an analysis and evaluation of the acquired information, and also he can use it in the right context,
4. He creates components of journalistic texts, and excercises accordance with the principles of individual journalistic genres
5. He can see the diference between journalistic and informative texts
6. He creates media texts based on a selected genre of journalism.
Description of ECTS:
-participation in classes (30 h)
-preparation for exercises (15 h)
-presentation of homeworks and preparation them (15 h)

Assessment criteria
Ek 1 - Student analyzes selected press titles and can evaluate them:
- to get 2 - he cannot anallize press title
- to get 3 - he analyzes selected press titles at the basoc level but can't evaluate them
- to get 4 - he analyzes selected press titles and can evaluate them
- to get 5- analyzes selected press titles and can evaluate them in critical way
EK 2- Student knows the stages of work with the text:
- to get 2 - he doesn't know stages of work with the text
- to get 3 - he mention stages of work with the text
- to get 4 - he can specify stages of work with the text
- to get 5 - he can specify stages of work with the text and use them in his work.
EK 3 - Student can make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source and make an analysis and evaluation of the acquired information, and also he ca use it in the right context:
- to get 2 - he can't make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source and makr an analysis and evaluation of the acquired information
- to get 3 - he can make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source but he doesn't know how to use it
- to get 4 - he can make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source and make an analysis and evaluation of the acquired information.
- to get 5 - he can can make a critical evaluation of quality of the information source and make an analysis and evaluation of the acquired information and he can use it in the right context
EK 4 - Student creates components of journalistic texts, and excercises accordance with the principles of individual journalistic genres:
- to get 2 - he doesn't know how to create structural elements of journalistic texts or any kind journalistic text
- to get 3 - he creates basic elements of journalistic texts and compile press information
- to get 4 - he creates structural elements of journalistic texts and basic journalistic genres
- to get 5 - he creates interesting structural elements of journalistic texts and he can create text in every journalistic genre.
EK 5 - Student can see the diference between journalistic and informative texts:
- to get 2 - he can't tell characteristic elements of informative and journalistic texts
- to get 3 - he can dot the list of characteristic elements of informative and journalistic texts
- to get 4 - he can specify elements of informative and journalistic texts
- to get 5 - he can tell the differences between informative and journalistic texts and based on them tell which one is informative and which one is journalistic
EK 6 - Student creates media texts based on a selected genre of journalism"
- to get 2 - he cannot do the text based on selected genre
- to get 3 - he prepares only one text in one genre and he can't adapt genre to selected theme
- to get 4 - he can adapt genre to enformced theme and create text
- to get 5- he can find theme, adapt and create text in accordance with rules of this genre.
Evaluation methods:
Ending grade is given in based on level of discussion on excercises, homeworks and test at the end of course.
