Ethics of Parenthood Vocation WSR-NR-D-EPR
The subject discusses the basic and particular (specific) ethical problems that appear in the context of the implementation of the parental vocation, - in the context of striving to be a good (loving) family.
From the point of view of Christian anthropology, all parental activities should be illuminated with an ethical (theological and moral) principle, which results from the theological as well as the charismatic, or sacramental, character of the marital vocation.
A further aim of the subject is to free the student's awareness from the tightening of subjectivist, individualistic, pragmatic and other such falsifications (restrictions and reductions) that appear today in society on the topic of parenthood.
Program content:
1. God the creator of life and the model of fatherhood.
2. The universal value of paternity.
3. The value of motherhood.
4. Parenthood as a vocation to communicate life for love.
5. The essence of parental responsibility; dignity of a marriage act.
6. Family as a universal microworld of a child.
7. Parenting and upbringing (the role of grandparents).
8. Problems of child adoption (prenatal).
9. Parenthood and sexual identity and sex of a child (psychological gender and gender).
10. The phenomenon of domestic violence (legal elements).
11. Reasons for rejection of the gift of life and love in the family (loneliness of the child).
12. Emotions during pregnancy (delivery and prevention of reproductive health).
13. A vicarious mother. Attachment to the ethos of parenthood (the issue of social responsibility for the good of the family).
14. Childlessness - today.
15. To be a good (responsible) parent, a summary.

Knowledge:
EK_1 - The student knows and understands selected concepts of man: philosophical, theological, psychological and social constituting the theoretical basis of activities for the benefit of marriage and family.
Skills:
EK_2 - Student is able to present and explain in a clear, consistent and consistent way themes in the field of family sciences in a manner adapted to the preparation of individuals and groups of recipients.
competence:
EK_3 - The student is sensitive to the problems of education in the field of preparing for life in marriage and family.
EK_4 - Is ready to communicate and cooperate with the environment, including those who are not specialists in a given field.
In summary: the lecture is to provide knowledge about the sense of human parenthood, and its specific external threats and methods to overcome them (eg as in the case of anti-family policy) and internal (eg when it comes to negligence in working on moral virtues).
The student has the opportunity to acquire the ability to understand what can be in a specific situation the cause of anti-parental attitudes.
Thanks to the discussions and lectures undertaken, the student should acquire the ability of a justified statement on the topics discussed.

30 hours - participation in lectures - 1 point.
30 hours - independent preparation for exams (plus essays) - 1 point.
Assessment criteria
Grading criteria for evaluation:
Grade 2: Absence from lectures, lack of basic knowledge about parental love in the context of moral-theological anthropology and knowledge of key documents relating to the issues in question (oral examination); the lack of an essay on the platform of e-lerningu.
Score 3: Attendance, have a basic knowledge of the relations in the context of the establishment of parental moral-theological anthropology (oral examination); demonstrate sensitivity to ethical issues related to the establishment of the parent (based on the essay).
Grade 4: Active participation in lectures, good knowledge of ethics in the context of parental moral-theological anthropology (oral examination), having the ability to application documents of the Magisterium to specific situations, the evaluation of individual actions and parental behavior (essays on e-lerningu).
Rating 5: Active participation in lectures, very good knowledge of the call to parenthood, mastery of the moral-theological analysis of parental behavior (test and essays on e-lerningu).
Forms of assessment:
1) The activity of the student in the class.
2) Having a substantive essay.
3) Sentence oral test (final).
Percentage criterion of evaluation:
40% - oral test.
30% - to engage in lecture classes.
30% - to write an essay.
