Historical Grammar of the Polish Language WH-FP-W-GHJP
Course contents :
The lectures are given information on the position of the Polish language among the languages of the world , particularly in the Indo-European family , in the group of Slavic languages. Pre-Indo-European and Proto-Slavic languages are characterized generally; the phonetic and morphological changes are shown. The lectures characterize the development of the grammatical system in the Polish language phonetics, inflection, word formation, syntax and phraseology. They indicate the heritage of different epochs in the stock of contemporary Polish .
Assessment methods: oral exam with the knowledge of basic developmental processes in the Polish language: theory and examples.
