Historical grammar of Polish Language WH-FP-C-GHJP
Course contents:
Classes explain the processes of the language with particular emphasis on historical and cultural determinants of early Slavic literature. The program of exercises includes the practical application knowledge from the phonetics, inflection and syntax elements in the analysis of several passages of historical texts from the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. These are the texts compiled in a specific order, because it includes in its programming all the material to the principles of gradation of difficulties, such as learning the alphabet of the Old Church Slavonic language from the text of the tenth century; exercises in reading Old Polish texts, rules of graphics of the first and second degree; identifying parts of speech, defining the forms, explaining the processes of phonetics, morphology; dialect differences, translation. This arrangement of classes is to master, and then to more systematize the acquired knowledge.
Assessment methods:
Classes consist of 30 hours. The condition for receiving the credit is: the attendance and active participation in classes; obtaining a positive evaluation of oral responses and a written test. The date of the test is known to students at the beginning of the semester and is always one month before the end of the classes.
