“TRAINING SKILLS WORKSHOP” CSDZ-WUT
“Training Skills Workshop” is a training cycle which familiarises students with basic training knowledge and skills. During our class we make it possible for the course participants to get practical experience and prepare them to hold training sessions independently. The classes are mainly practical – they are run with the use of active methods that engage the trainees. The key tool is each participant’s active practice under the supervision of the group and the person holding the class.
Curricular contents:
1.Self-knowledge training/ Integration workshop
2.A few words about the group processes (phases of a group development; group roles)
3.How to work with a group? (conditions of working with a group; learning by personal experience, rules of working with a group, concluding a contract)
4.Phases of a training cycle (identifying training objectives and needs; selection of participants; designing trainings; preparing materials; conducting a training; assessing a training, etc.)
5.Workshop structure and characteristics of a well-designed workshop. Preparing an offer – programme – training schedule
6.Trainer’s briefcase (methods of holding classes; exercise techniques)
7.Trainer before and after a workshop... (difficult situations in trainer’s work; prevention at work; training environment)
8.Trainer’s ethics (trainer’s ethos and styles)
9.Supervision of workshop held independently by students

Conditions for receiving a credit for the class and getting 3 ECTS:

•Preparing an original three-hour workshop under trainer’s supervision
