1. The student knows:
- biographies and titles of works of Caesarius of Arles, Gregory the Great, Gregory of Tours, Isidor of Sevilla, Casiodor, Boecius
- the history of the era in which these authors lived
- general content of the works analyzed during the semester
- the importance of the "decadent age" of patristics
- essential elements of theology: Caesarius of Arles, Gregory the Great, Gregory of Tours, Isidor of Sevilla, Casiodor, Boecius.
2. The student is able to:
- subject to theological analysis the content of selected passages of the works of Caesarius of Arles, Gregory the Great, Gregory of Tours, Isidor of Sevilla, Casiodor, Boecius
- indicate the type of exegesis of biblical texts they use
- compare authors' positions and indicate their thought relationships
Assessment criteria
1. Active participation in lectures (attendance, participation in discussions) – 30%
2. Independent work verified by exercises during the semester – 20%
3. Final oral examination or written work on an approved topic (12,000 characters) – 50%.
