Morality and spirituality of responsibility WT-SST-MDO
Entering into the problems of the Synod convened by Pope Francis seems to be something absolutely necessary in our theology. It is necessary to look for the deepest theological foundations for this event. The lecture wants to relate the synodal content at the present stage of its development to two theological levels: moral theology and theology of spirituality, as fields closely related to each other. The analysis of the existing documents related to the Synod is to make this possible. Synodal events are seen in the Church as a fundamental stage in the reform, or rather the renewal of the Church, announced and implemented by Pope Francis.
The subject of the analysis is the basic Preparatory Document of the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops "Towards the Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission", Pope Francis, Address at the Opening of the Sixteenth Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the subject:

The doctoral student acquires the knowledge of the newest aspects of the present pontificate, especially in terms of the relationship between morality and spirituality.
The analysis of the documents of the pontificate allows you to enter into a discussion with the commentators of the papal words and actions.
In terms of knowledge:
The student has knowledge of the basic terminology of moral theology and theology of spirituality. The student knows and distinguishes between two theological disciplines.
In terms of skills:
The student is able to carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of various theological and world views in the field of moral life. On the example of the present Synod, the student recognizes the close relationship between spirituality and morality.
In terms of social competences:
The student is able to recognize the complexity of the studied problem and solve it in the light of moral theology and theology of spirituality, especially in connection with the experienced crisis in the contemporary Church.

Student activity:
Active participation in the lecture 30 hours
Reading and analysis of Church documents 15 hours.
Preparation of a written assignment 15 hours.

Assessment criteria
Active participation in the analyzes performed.
Assessment of written work prepared during the semester.
