Mission anthropology WT-SST-AM
Application of culture concepts is seen in the mission of the saint Paul Apostle and Jesus’s disciples. Later openness towards the different cultures are present in the life of St. Gregory the Great, Cyril and Methody, R.Lull, R.de Nobili, M. Ricci, M. De Nobrega, and others one who defended the family cultures were: Anthony Montesino, B. de Las Casas, B. de Sahagun, J.F. Lafitau, John of Pian del Carpine, W. van Ruysbroeck, John of Montecorvino, G. Marginolli, C. de Molina, J. de Acosta: among the great writers for a.m. belong Missionaries of Africa - H. A. Junod and Erwin Smith as well from Oceania – R.H. Codrington and M. Leehhardt: great credit for developing the antropology has as well “Anthropos”; in XX century antropol. Textbook and guidens for those who were involving in interculturals mission work were written: Eugen A. Nida, Joseph Fitzpatrick, Robert Schreiter, A. Roest Crollius and L.J. Luzbetak whom in theological assumptions for mission anthropology underlined priority of the Holy Spirit in the mission work and necessity of the deep spiritual life and solid knowledge of missionaries. He recognized for the mains themes of mission anthropology model of mission, signs of the time, as well integration and dynamism of culture. One of the fruits of the research mission antropology is concept of inculturation of Christianity.
