New Testament WT-SLO-NTCW
Contents of the course: Acquiring the ability of a personal (individual, self-dependent)interpretation of the bible texts of the NT and the public presentation of such. Continually improved knowledg of and use ability to use different methods of interpretation of biblical texts. The ability to use biblical literature in a self-dependent and critical manner. The ability to formulate personal and motivated conclusions and opinions, the abilioty to communicate them to others and suggesting these to the critical opinions of others. The ability to partecipate in discussion, listen to others and to have respect for what they are saying.
Learning methods: class activities with interactive method guided by lecturer and students with the assumptions that students have a maximum active participation and couirse of each encounter. The lecturer especially assists in learning the methodology of working with the Bible. After that, each of the students prepares a 20 min. presentation concerning a NT text (selectionagreed with the lecturer), after which there is a discussion of all of the participans, in which there can be a verification (correction) of the earlier presentation, a deeper analysis and a better and more profound understanding of the presented material.
Evaluation methods: Final grade takes into account: class participation, activity and involvement during classes, and quality of assignment prepared according to directions.
