Formation of Catechists WT-R-FK
The catechist is the key person in the catechetic act of communication in the horizontal dimension. The relations between the catechist and the recipient of catechesis as well as the relations between the catechist and Christ are conditional upon the catechist’s personality and permanent formation. Other competencies of the catechist are also important, especially those which are connected with the effectiveness of communication catechesis. They are defined as the constitutive competencies in the communication. They include : the ability to establish verbal and nonverbal contact, the knowledge relative to various manners of communicating and the ability to make the right choice, the empathy and the assertiveness as well as the communicative autoreflection.
