The aim of the lecture is to show "signs of the times" as the locus theologicus, or specific source for theology. The specificity of "signs of the times" as a place of theological stems from the nature of the social signs of the times. The nature of social signs of the times means that they concern primarily the context and the human condition, related to the world in which he lives. In this way, the interpretation of signs of the times is the common field of theology and social sciences. Cycle lecture contains two approaches to the signs of the times. First theological perspective that allows you to explain the significance and meaning of signs of the time perspective of Revelation and the history of salvation. Second, the perspective of the social sciences, which allows penetration into the specificity and content of individual social phenomena and processes perceived as signs of the times. This approach indicates the two main parts of the proposed lecture.
In the first part of the lectures will be announced-theological fundamentals "signs of the times". We rely primarily on developed after Vatican II called. theology, history and theology of time. Discussing these grounds will look at the so-called. "New theology" of the twentieth century, mostly affiliated with French and German. We will analyze, in the light of Catholic theology is called. the autonomy of earthly realities. This will allow us to understand the specifics of the Catholic approach to the world, time, and even the matter and thus capture the differences that exists between the Catholic and Protestant perspective. To better understand the theological signs of the times we will also issue "Providence" and its theological contexts. In this section there will, of course, the biblical foundations of the concept of "signs of the times".
In the second part, using the language of social science, but we will look at the example of contemporary interpretations of the signs of the times.
