Patristics WT-FW-PAT1
Course contents:
Patrology is a theological discipline: it examins and draws the saved oldest religious texts of Christian antiquity (I-VIII Century) on account of their theological value and in historical perspective of theology. The starting point is constitute by approach the chief authors of this period, mainly the Latin and Greek Fathers. The lecture presents their biographies, literary works and theological thought on the storical and cultural background. The students have a possibility to learn the large patristic panorama and the development of ecclesiastical doctrine.
