Old Testament - late historical books WT-EM-SHK
Lectures are designed to acquaint students with main theological thoughts of the late historical books of the Old Testament (Ruth, 1-2 Chronicles, 1-2 Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, Judith, Tobit, Esther, 1-2 Maccabees). After presentation historical background of the stories contained in each of the book, the student will get to know its authors (redactors), time of origin, nature and the fundamental literary structure. During discussion of the book lecturer will present exegesis one of its most representative or interesting fragment. This experience and individual reading the entire text of each book (to which the students will be encouraged) will allow them to deepen their knowledge of issues and content of a significant part of the Christian Bible.
