Mariology WT-DTE-SMM

Meritoric contents:
Working together over the choosing a theme of thesis, making plan and content of each chapter. Exercises how to write a PhD thesis, both from a meritoric side (analysis of theological texts and the texts of the Teaching Authority of the Church), and from a formal one (teaching of a correct bibliographic record, looking up for sources, etc).
At the seminar, there come into existance PhD thesis in theology, with specialization in mariology.
The seminar is dedicated to the mariological research upon the Blessed Virgin Mary and her function in the history of salvation. In a special way, the seminar deals with the following themes:
- Relation between the Virgin Mary and the Three Divine Persons, especially her relation with the Holy Spirit.
- Place of the Virgin Mary in the life of the Church, especially searching for the most adequate ways of interpretation of her intermediation.
- Cult of the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially the relation between this cult and the history of Poland and Europe.
- Role of Marian sanctuaries and their meaning in the social and religious life of Poland and Europe.
- Marian teaching of the great worshippers of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A special attention will be drawn on the teaching of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe (Founder of the Convent in Niepokalanów) and Servant of God Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński (Patron saint of our University).
