General Psychology WT-DMI-PSY2
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the importance of psychological knowledge in human life. Therefore, the student is introduced to issues related to human behavior, including ways (processes) of thinking, feeling and acting.
The classes discuss various approaches to understanding why people behave in a certain way (hence various schools of psychology). The aim of the subject is therefore to develop the ability to reflect on one's own behavior and the behavior of other people, as well as the ability to influence undesirable behavior.
For this reason, the aim of the subject is also to raise awareness of the educational consequences of specific attitudes and ongoing development processes. The following specific topics are discussed:

4. perception, attention, conscioussness, memory

6. emotions and motivation

Assessment criteria
Assessment of knowledge:
2 - has no knowledge on the subject of general psychology research and basic research methods of the discipline;
3 - has knowledge on the subject of general psychology, but does not have the correct knowledge about the detailed specifics of specific mental processes;
4 - have correct knowledge about specific mental processes; understand their individuality;
5 - they have a thorough knowledge of all mental processes and phenomena studied by general psychology.
Assessment skills: assessment of the extent to which the student understands the problems of general psychology, can critically evaluate psychological research, formulate research questions.
Assessment of competence: Assessment of cultural discussion, openness to different views of their position.
