Studying material culture allows us to understand and reveal the values, ideas, beliefs and motivations of a given community. Objects produced by media culture, serving the development of the information society, are a special section of scientific reflection. Getting to know him allows you to understand what the tasks and possibilities of journalism are today and how journalists can use the products of material culture.Course topics:1. three periods of civilization development (A. - recognizes and characterizes contemporary phenomena of material culture- can bind material objects with values, symbols, ideas- knows and knows how to review the literature on the research problems posed- uses critical analysis and formulates conclusions independently
Assessment criteria
- for grade 2 (next): he is not able to present his knowledge to the questions asked about the content of the lecture in the easiest way; does not recognize and understand theories related to material culture; cannot analyze and justify how changes in culture affect the production of objects; is unable to recognize and define the impact of new media on the mentality of modern man, cannot justify the presence of the Internet as an important expression of cultural change,- for grade 3 (dst.): expresses the acquired knowledge, skills and competences by analyzing the discussed issues with the help of a lecturer;- at grade 4 (db): expresses acquired knowledge, skills, competence through knowledge and independent analysis of lecture content,- at grade 5 (very good): can present, analyze, discuss based on acquired knowledge, skills and competences, and is able to use the acquired knowledge effectively, creatively and in an original way.
