Online journalism WT-DKS-P-DI
nternet journalism as the ability to prepare a message regarding facts and events, in accordance with the specificity of the Internet (and its dissemination via the Internet) is a mandatory skill for a modern journalist. Knowledge of online media, tools, and journalistic genres is knowledge that a student of journalism studies should be able to use in his or her work.
Topics covered:
1. Online journalism - definitions.
2. Elements of the history of the Internet (in Poland and in the world).
3. The process of shaping online journalism in Poland and around the world.
4. Internet portals - from a catalog to an information tycoon.
5. Reception of the Internet text by the reader.
6. Elements that distinguish online journalism.
7. Rules for creating online texts.
8. Elements of editing online texts, rules of linguistic correctness. Proofreading and editing texts.
9. Genres of online journalism. Common to online journalism, as well as those specific to online journalism.
10. Differences in the creation and organization of work of online editorial offices and traditional media editorial offices (e.g. work).
11. Blogosphere (specificity, catalog of the most important bloggers and blogs in Poland) and online journalism. Social media and online journalism.
12. Text, graphics, interactive elements. Website functionality research.
13. Text for the Internet. "Golden rules" of creating texts. Where to look for inspiration. What to do when you have no idea for a text?

Students regularly run an online project during the semester, where they post their original materials throughout the entire semester of the project.
Additionally, students' knowledge is regularly checked during classes through practical exercises and interactive quizzes/tests. The final grade for the classes is the resultant grade (for the online project, involvement in the exercises and knowledge of the classes).
A student may have 3 absences from classes.
