Business plan WSE-EK-MGR-BP
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the subject and scope of the process of developing a business plan for planned, launched or conducted business. The issue of developing a business plan is discussed for various types of entities and institutions, with particular emphasis on the principles, guidelines, determinants and components of business plan development in enterprises. During the course, key issues are discussed in the field of components, principles, key determinants of developing a business plan in the context of conducted or planned business activity. As part of this issue, the issues of market analyzes, marketing strategies, promotion and advertising, modern marketing techniques used on the Internet, economic analyzes, development of business plan attachments, applying for external financing of investment projects and maintaining current operations, strategic analyzes are also taken into account, SWOT, economic efficiency research, methodology for assessing the economic functioning of business entities, methodology for examining economic effectiveness of enterprises, methods for restructuring economic entities, selection and implementation of carrying out, ongoing economic processes, including investment and development undertakings, negotiating terms of transactions with contractors to which a business plan is developed.

EK1_W03 Understands social mechanisms related to economic sectors, economic institutions, various types of social structures and institutions, and has basic knowledge about the relations between them on the national, international and intercultural scale in relation to social sciences. He is able to use this knowledge to carry out macroeconomic analyzes and sectoral economic environment in relation to the entity for which he develops a business plan.
EK1_W09 Has basic knowledge of the functioning of financial markets, methods of testing the economic effectiveness of entities operating in modern economies and uses this knowledge in developing a business plan. Has the knowledge to carry out marketing analyzes, SWOT analyzes, market research, development of advertising campaigns, promotional campaigns for the purpose of developing a marketing plan, marketing strategy of business entities.
EK1_W10 Possesses knowledge about norms and rules organizing social structures and their governing regularities and their sources, changes and ways of acting and in the field of methodologies for the assessment of economic functioning of business entities, methodologies of examining the economic efficiency of enterprises, methods of restructuring business entities, selection and implementation of carrying out, continuing business processes, including investment and development projects. This knowledge is effectively applied to the business plan being developed.
EK1_U01 Can practically apply knowledge to solve simple economic problems and to give opinions on various economic and social issues. Student is able to project the economic situation of the researched entity and indicate optional directions of the proper development strategy, restructuring and improvement of the diagnosed situation.
EK1_U02 Can think critically, using the patterns of rationalism. Carries out micro-, meso- and macroeconomic analyzes for the needs of developing business plans for various business entities and institutions. Carries out economic, financial and index analyzes necessary for the preparation of a business plan.
EK1_U03 Is able to use sources of economic data and methods of analyzing them and to make a critical analysis of how to obtain them using normative systems and selected norms and legal, professional and moral rules relating to the studied field.
EK1_U04 Is able to interpret economic data and social phenomena in the fields of science and scientific disciplines relevant to the studied field, and adequately to the needs of developing business plans. It develops various types of business plans depending on the institution to which the document is addressed.
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the subject is obtaining a positive grade from the exercises.
98-100 points from the exercises entitle to the final grade of 5.0
93-97 points from the exercises give the final mark 4.5
83-92 points from exercises entitle you to a final grade of 4.0
77-82 points from the exercises entitle to the final evaluation of 3.5
70-76 points from the exercises entitle to the final grade of 3.0
The number of points obtained by the student in the entire course of subject training below 70 may mean unsuccessful exercises.
Practical placement
During the traineeship, the student should use the knowledge of the subject matter. The type of business entity and institution, the scope of duties, the activities carried out, the tasks entrusted to the student for performance during the apprenticeship should be correlated in key issues with the subject matter.
