Introduction in subject matter of international law.
Assumptions and aims (detailed):
Acquaintance with principles and concepts of international law, acquintance with relations amongst public international law and domestic and basic regulations of international law, in this, binding Poland and ability to relate them to practice.

Detailed class programme:
Subject matter of classes: total hours:
1. Introducing issues.
2. Public international law and other branches of law.
3. Principles and regulations of international law.
4. Legal personality in international law.
5. State and its attributes: Origin and collapse of States, State's territory, sovereingty, immunity, succession, diplomatic missions.
6. International organizations.
7. Non-state's territory. Law of the sea.
8. Individual's status in international law: citizenship, statelesses, forreigners, asylum seekers.
9. Human rights: regional (European) and universal solutions.
10. Prohibition of use of force in international law. Retorsions, reprisals, international sanctions. Peaceful settlement of disputes.
11. Humanitarian law: occupied territories status, veterans, refugees, prisoners-of-war, victims.
