Methodology of working with children with special educational needs WNP-PPWZ-MPDC
The issues of exercise classes are focused on methodical work with children/students with special educational needs (children with disabilities and children with a spectrum of symptoms that make cognitive, sensory, communication, emotional, social and motor functioning difficult or impossible). The methodology of this work is a specialized procedure consisting in identifying, planning and preparing activities supporting the development of children with special educational needs and adapting educational requirements to their individual developmental and educational needs.

- The student knows and understands the complexity of special educational needs and the specificity of functioning of children/students with special educational needs, and knows and understands the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.

- The student is able to plan, design and conduct methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs and adapt educational requirements in order to organize the appropriate educational process.
Social competences: (PPW_K03, PPW_K04):
- The student is ready to build relationships of trust between the entities of the educational process and to cooperate effectively with specialist teachers.
Assessment criteria
Knowledge:
- for a grade of 3.0 - The student has an elementary degree of knowledge and understanding of the complexity of special educational needs, the specific functioning of children/students with special educational needs and the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.
- for a grade of 3.5 - The student has a sufficient degree of knowledge and understanding of the complexity of special educational needs, the specific functioning of children/students with special educational needs and the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.
- for a grade of 4.0 - The student has a satisfactory level of knowledge and understanding of the complexity of special educational needs, the specific functioning of children/students with special educational needs and the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.
- for a grade of 4.5 - The student has an appropriate level of knowledge and reflective understanding of the complexity of special educational needs, the specificity of functioning of children/students with special educational needs and the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.
- for a grade of 5.0 - The student has full knowledge and fully and reflectively understands the complexity of special educational needs, the specificity of functioning of children/students with special educational needs and the methodology of working with a child/student with special educational needs.
Skills:
- for a grade of 3.0 - The student is able to plan, design and conduct methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs to a limited and unstructured extent and is able to adapt educational requirements to organize the educational process to a limited and unstructured extent.
- for a grade of 3.5 - The student is able to plan, design and conduct methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs to a sufficient and not fully ordered extent and is able to adapt educational requirements to organize the educational process to a sufficient and not fully ordered extent.
- for a grade of 4.0 - The student is able to plan, design and conduct methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs well and in an orderly manner, and is able to adapt educational requirements well and in an orderly manner in order to organize the appropriate educational process.
- for a grade of 4.5 - The student is able to plan and design methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs in an appropriate and orderly manner and conduct it in an appropriate, orderly and interesting way for the child/student. He is also able to reliably adapt educational requirements in order to organize the appropriate educational process.
- for a grade of 5.0 - The student is fully able to plan and design methodological work with a child/student with special educational needs and conduct it in a reliable, fully orderly and interesting way for the child/student. He is also able to reliably and reflectively adapt educational requirements in order to organize the appropriate educational process.
Social competence:
- for a grade of 3.0 - The student is, to a limited extent, ready to build relationships of trust with children/students with special educational needs and to cooperate effectively with specialist teachers.
- for a grade of 3.5 - The student is sufficiently ready to build relationships of trust with children/students with special educational needs and to effectively cooperate with specialist teachers.
- for a grade of 4.0 - The student is satisfactorily ready to build relationships of trust with children/students with special educational needs and to cooperate effectively with specialist teachers.
- for a grade of 4.5 - The student is sufficiently ready to build relationships of trust with children/students with special educational needs and to effectively cooperate with specialist teachers.
- for a grade of 5.0 - The student is fully ready to build relationships of trust with children/students with special educational needs and to effectively cooperate with specialist teachers. At the same time, he is ready to reflect and draw conclusions regarding building relationships and cooperation.
The final grade consists of:
1. Attendance at training classes - 1 absence is allowed. Exceeding the limit of permissible absences results in the obligation to pass an oral test at the end of the current semester.
2. Systematic and committed work during exercise classes.
3. Development of original Correlated Educational Materials for children with special educational needs.
Note: successful completion of the course is determined by the fulfillment of all the above points.
