Pedagogical seminar in English at B2+ level Climate Change Education WNP-PE-KANG-AKL
Warming of the Earth's climate system as a result of human activity and the accompanying effects are no longer in doubt. The effects of climate change are visible on a global scale. Reducing these unfavorable changes requires rapid social and economic changes. Transformations are necessary in almost all areas of life. To this end, it is important to conduct climate education that will make people aware of the need and urgency to change behaviors and habits, to give up inappropriate practices. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the causes of climate change, ways of adapting to change and its effects. Moreover, the legitimacy of implementing education to climate change will be shown.

- the student gains knowledge about the causes and effects of climate change
- the student learns the mechanisms of adaptation to climate change
- the student knows the assumptions and goals of climate change education
Skills:
-students are able to assess the extent to which educational projects will contribute to counteracting climate change;
- students are able to identify good educational practices in the field of combating climate change;
Social competences:
- students are ready to change their habits and give up bad practices.
Assessment criteria
The final evaluation consists of:
- presentation (substantive assessment of the content, presentation method, aesthetics)
- tasks performed on the teams platform
- activity during the lecture
Lectures are obligatory. You can have 1 absence.
