(in Polish) Molecular basic of atherosclerosic and stroke WMCM-LE-MON-MBA
A course includes lectures that present the current knowledge on molecular mechanisms of processes leading to vascular disease. The topics that are presented during the course include: Human Genome Project and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease gene; molecular pathways for cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure; inflammation and immunity in atherogenesis; dyslipidemias and atherogenesis; lipoprotein oxidation, macrophages, immunity and atherogenesis; circulating metals and atherogenesis; blood coagulation and atherothrombosis; molecular pathways in hypertension; chronic infections and cerebrovascular disease; acute infections and cerebrovascular disease; autoimmune mechanisms in pathogenesis of cerebrovascular disease; gene-gene and gene-environmental interactions in vascular disease; and monogenic causes of cerebrovascular disease.

Assessment criteria
The student’s work in frame of learning of “Molecular basis of vascular disease” is verified through written test – verification of education effects by written test partially one-choice examination and open question test. Final test appraisal (partially one-choice examination and open question test) to get a pass on third min. 50% is required, for third plus – 60%, for second: 70%, for second plus: 80%, for first: 90%.
