Course content:
Artistic material of the theatre and contemporary stage conventions (music, art, acting, costumes, literature). Theatre language of nowadays and its historical changes.
Theatre life - reviews, conventions, legends, - social function of the theatre.
Reception of the stage work - individual and social one. Role and meaning of individual elements of the performance. Historical changes of theatre conventions and their present meaning.
Methods of assessment:
Analysis of topics chosen from the basic knowledge about the theatre.

Bardzo dobry – student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre, can adjust methodology to every theatrical text, he can compare it with other textes of culture.
Dobry - student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre, he can compare theatrical text with other textes of culture.
Dostateczny - student knows main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he knows main issues from history and theory of theatre, knows main conventions of theatre.
Niedostateczny - student dosen't know main terms focused on history and theory of theatre,, he doesn't know main issues from history and theory of theatre, doesn't know main conventions of theatre, can't adjust methodology to every theatrical text, he can't compare it with other textes of culture.
