Energy audits WB-IS-II-11-31
The subject concerns the subject of performing energy audits. As part of the subject, issues of energy efficiency of buildings and other building structures, assessment of energy consumption of existing objects and diagnostics of technical condition as well as performing calculations of the heat balance of buildings using computer software are discussed. The current regulations and thematically related topics are discussed, as well as the basic concepts and terms used in the field of energy efficiency are discussed. A selected computer program is used to perform an energy audit, which is used as part of the course to present computational methodologies based on standards, as well as to perform calculations for a selected building to assess heat consumption. As part of the subject, field exercises with the use of a thermal imaging camera are also carried out, aimed at, among others, indicating thermal bridges and thermal differentiation of partitions for selected buildings. The factors influencing the microclimatic conditions in the object are discussed in the context of the heating devices used and additional heat gains, as well as the components of the heat balance and the methodology of calculating the design heat load in the context of the current PN-EN 12831 standard are discussed.

Learning outcomes
According to plan.
The basis for obtaining credit and awarding the prescribed ECTS is the performance of reports (student's own work at home and participation in classes (performing tasks arising from the subject of the given classes).
Assessment criteria
Attendance is obligatory. Exercise reports form the basis for passing the subject. The report may be made only by persons participating in classes on a given topic, which is the basis of the report.
Lack of reports makes it impossible to pass the course. All absences must be excused.
The reports are in writing (in some cases electronic form is allowed, as agreed in class).
Reports must be submitted for evaluation within the prescribed periods.
Works performed by several people are allowed (according to the arrangements in class).
The subject of the course is a report on the performance of calculations in a computer program in a selected area related to the subject of the course.
Practical placement
Not available for this exercises.
