Fluid mechanics WB-IS-35-03
Course contents:
Fluidity and continuity of fluid. Parameters describing the state of the fluid. Basic physical properties of fluids. Hydrostatics - pressure and hydrostatic pressure, fluid equilibrium equations, swimming bodies. Fluid pressure on flat and curved walls. Basic concepts of fluid kinetics. Differential equation of flow continuity. Bernoulli equation for ideal and real liquids. Laminar and turbulent flow. Movement resistance. Calculation of flows in pipes under pressure. Hydraulic hammer. Liquid jet reaction. The outflow of liquid through the holes and attachments. Transfers. Movement of liquids in channels and open channels. Groundwater movement. Water supply to ordinary and artesian wells, drains and channels. Collaboration of a team of wells. Calculation of the flow and flow of gases. Bernoulli's equation for gases in the adiabatic process. Gas flow through holes and nozzles. Pressure distribution in the atmosphere.
